Granny Sleigh Ride – Annual fundraiser

Our first annual walk/run/cross-country ski/snowshoe fundraiser to benefit Canticle and Juniper Courts took place January 14, 2006.  Participants enjoyed cocoa and cookies, and a free stocking cap  just for participating.  The route is under one mile each way.

Adopt-A-Grandparent – Monthly ice cream socials

On the second Sunday of each month, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., come and meet our residents and adopt a grandma or grandpa.  Enjoy the grounds across the street from Lake Michigan.  Join us for ice cream, chocolate and caramel at Juniper Court in "The Gathering Place" at 3209 S. Lake Drive in St. Francis.

Endowment / Donations

If you were passing LaVerne's apartment, you may have heard her comment to her sister, “It's not an apartment, it's a community!”  Our senior residents are precious gifts to each other by their presence and concern for one another.

If you heard their life stories, you would be amazed at the challenges and hardships that they have overcome and have used in developing a positive outlook on life.  So much to share and to give, yet many of our seniors have very little when it comes to monetary items.

Their lives would be overflowing in gratitude if you would partner with us.  How? Partnership holds three gifts: the gift of time, the gift of presence, and the gift of project investment. 

If you can give the gift of time and presence, please join us at our “Adopt-A-Grandparent” monthly ice cream socials, the second Sunday of each month, or volunteer for one of our events.
